WLAN module identification#

Users can identify which WLAN module is installed within the device by use of the command line rather than visual inspection.

  1. Ensure the WLAN killswitch is in the enabled position.

  2. Launch a terminal.

  3. Execute the following command:

    ip l show wlan0

  4. The WLAN module organizationally unique identifier (OUI) resides in the first 3 bytes of the MAC address. Locate the MAC address next to link/ether and compare it to the following table:
