Embedded Controller

The Librem 14 Embedded Controller (EC) is a small processor that controls hardware functions of the Librem 14. It manages system power, battery charging, keyboard, and more.

The Librem 14 EC is active when the AC adapter is plugged in, even if the computer is turned off. It is also active when the computer is turned on, even if the AC adapter is not plugged in. The EC runs Librem EC, a free and open source firmware.
