Removal
-------

#. Ensure the device is fully powered off.
#. Disconnect the device from any connected USB power source.
#. :ref:`Remove the rear cover <l5_rear_cover>` of the device to access the battery compartment.
#. Remove the existing battery from the compartment by lifting up on the clear plastic tab and pulling outward from the device.

Replacement
-----------

#. :ref:`Remove <l5_battery_removal>` any battery installed within the battery compartment.
#. Remove the replacement battery from any packaging materials and insert it into the battery compartment, as shown in the diagram below.

#. Position the cover over the case as before and gently press until it snaps into place.
